Gill Construction provides reliable freight, rural supply cartage, and fertiliser spreading services backed by more than 90 years of industry experience. Our fleet and experienced operators are equipped to support a wide range of agricultural, rural, and general transport requirements across the region.
Our services include:
Farm freight and rural cartage – transporting baleage, hay, grain, stock feed, wool, farm machinery, and other rural supplies. Our tipper truck fleet is also available for bulk fertiliser and lime deliveries to help keep farm operations running efficiently.
General freight and local supplies – we supply gravel and aggregate products from our Middle Renwick Road depot and provide general cartage services for gravel, building materials, and other freight requirements throughout the region.
Fertiliser cartage and ground-spreading – For all your pasture and vineyard spreading requirements in the wider Marlborough region.
We have spreadmark certified equipment with an experienced and reliable team of drivers, some of which are also Groundspread Certified.
Tabula (Tracmap) is our on board GPS system of choice and this is running in all of our spreading fleet, pairing with the Whitehead V3 for accuracy and proof of placement and allowing spread rates of up to 5t/ha on a single pass.
Mini Spreaders
3x 4WD and 1x 2WD mini spreaders capable of operating in 2.4m-3m vineyard rows along with being available for apple and cheery orchards, lifestyle blocks, parks & reserves and sports fields.
2x 2.5 tonne load capacity – broadcast and band spreading capable.
Pasture Spreader
4X4 MAN spreader – flotation tyres with bigfoot tyre inflation system on board.
6 tonne capacity – efficient and easy on the land and operator. This vehicle is equally at home on the flat to rolling or undulating hill country.
Self-Elevating Trailers x3
10-15ton capacity – allowing us to make the most efficient choices getting fertiliser on site.
We also have a portable tow-behind elevator for bulk units to feed onto, making those big jobs a little easier and making sure the high analysis fertiliser products don’t need to be stockpiled on the ground if there are no onsite bins available. We are members of Groundspread NZ and the Nelson/Marlborough Branch of the Groundspread NZ.
